A snowy night and holiday lights makes this time of year extra magical. That’s why we are going to share with you The Best Holiday Rotary Lights In Wisconsin.
Christmas time is our favorite time of year. There is something about the music, holiday lights and yes a little bit of snow that just fills our hearts with cheer.
What better way to kick off the holiday season than visiting one the best holiday rotary light displays in Wisconsin.
First on our list is the Rotary Botanical Gardens Holiday Lights Show in Janesville, WI.
This after dark light show takes you through the botanical gardens with more than 1.5 million lights displayed. You and your family can enjoy themed light displays and animations making it the perfect family friendly holiday activity.
This holiday light display starts on November 21st and goes through December 30th from 4:30 to 9 p.m. with the last check in at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased online and there are no refunds on tickets. The tickets are only valid for the selected date and time at the time of purchase.
You are able to walk through at your own pace and there are several locations for a fun holiday family photo along the way.

Next, is our absolute favorite light show and one we must see every year, the Rotary Lights in La Crosse, WI.
Drive, walk or take a carriage ride through this gorgeous holiday light spectacular.
You can enjoy the Rotary Lights from November 24th through December 31st. The park opens at 5:00 p.m. daily and gates close after the last car in line at 10:00 p.m. There are also special hours for Christmas Eve, Day and New Year’s Eve and a All Abilities night on November 27th for those you can’t experience it on other nights due to flashing lights and loud music.
Opening day you can experience a parade starting at 5 pm with the opening ceremony immediately after.
Santa will be in the park every night through December 23rd and there are some additional fun activities for the entire family including:
- Ice rink and free skate rental, weather permitting
- Live Nativity
- Carriage rides
- Free s’mores at the fire pits
We absolutely love this event. Our kids have so much fun and who wouldn’t when you’re surrounded by 3,000,000 beautiful lights.
The best part is that this event is absolutely FREE. They just ask for voluntary food and cash donations.
