Transport yourself from the Florida sun to the forests of the Great Northwest and Explore The Beautiful Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World.

Inspired by the great National Park lodges the lodge will transport you to the wild and untamed forests around this beautiful country.
Here you will walk into the giant lobby with towering totem poles, hearing the sounds of babbling waterways and enjoy swaying pines as you venture through nature trails. Never had the chance to see old faithful, well catch a glimpse at Disney’s very own just past the Copper Creek Springs pool.

The Wilderness Lodge is one of the several Disney Vacation Club resorts around Disney property. Check out our home resort, the beautiful Riviera Resort by clicking the link here.
I could go on and on with how well this hotel transports you to the beautiful Northwest forests but lets get into the details of all that you can enjoy during your stay at the Wilderness lodge.
Rooms
There are a wide range of accomodations when you stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. From rooms and suites that sleep up to four adults, club-level service that sleeps up to 6 adults, Deluxe studios (sleep up to 5 adults), 2 bedroom Cabin (sleeps up to 8) or 1-2 and 3-bedroom villas (sleep up to 12 adults).

In the Cabins and Villas you will find fully-equipped kitchens perfect for those occasional home cooked meals or snacks when you don’t want to spend the high price at some of the Disney restaurants. There are also spacious dining and living spaces, separate bedrooms that offer space and privacy after a long day at the park. Finally each room has a washer and dryer so you can pack light and leave with clean, fresh smelling clothes.

The Cabins include special features like a personal hot tub, double-sided fireplace and private views of Bay Lake.
We spent our time in the deluxe-studio that came with a kitchenette so we were able to prepare breakfast and lunch as well as a sofa sleeper, one queen bed and a pull-down bed.
Pools
At Disney’s Wilderness Lodge you can choose the pool that fits your style. If you’re looking for a more relaxing, unwind experience head to the Boulder Ridge Cover Pool. Here you will find a quiet oasis with a zero-depth pool, whirlpool or relax under one of the six shaded seated areas.

If you’re looking for a bit more fun and activity check out the Copper Creek Springs Pool. This beautiful heated pool is surrounded by nature you can experience the exhilarating 67-foot water slide or relax in the hot and cold whirlpool spas. For the little ones take them over to the added water play area just off the main pool.

As you may know from previous posts, a majority of our family is dairy free due to sensitivities so we love when we can find delicious dairy free food items on the menu. Two of our favorites were the plant based Zesty slaw “burger” on a Brioche Bun with lettuce, tomato, spicy slaw, and house-made chips, and for dessert the plant-based fresh fruit danish was delicious.
