Let’s face it, we all have moments of weakness when our sweet tooth gets the best of us. If you’re like our family chocolate is on the top of our list when we are craving something sweet. Now, it’s easy to grab that cookie or bowl of ice cream but why not make it something a little bit more heathy.
We understand that it is important to eat healthy most days, but we also think it is important to indulge every so often. So why not find a happy medium and eat something just as delicious as a cookie but better for you.
To make this easy bowl, all you need is a banana sliced into small sized pieces, a nut butter of your choice, chocolate chips and some unsweetened shredded coconut.
Nut Butter
We are a family with allergies. From my daughter and I having a peanut allergy and my son having a sensitivity to some tree nuts, we had to find a safe alternative that still taste great. Sun butter has been a great alternative and safe for everyone in our family. Made with sunflower seeds, it’s the perfect amount of sweetness, smoothness and no need to stir unlike most almond or peanut butters. Also, did I mention that it is delicious?
Chocolate Chips
We are also sensitive to dairy, so again we were on the hunt for a safe alternative for our family. Enjoy Life dark chocolate chips were the perfect find. All the Enjoy Life products are free of all major allergen’s, making many of their items a staple in our house. That being said, we always keep at least 1-2 bags of their dark chocolate chips in our pantry.

Easy Coconut Chocolate Chip Banana Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 Banana peeled and sliced into small chucks
- 1 Tbsp Nut butter we use Sun Butter due to allergies
- 1/2 Tbsp Unsweeted Shredded coconut
- 1 Tbsp Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Chips or chocolate chips of your choice
Instructions
- Peel and slice banana into small chunks in a small bowl
- Drizzle nut butter of choice over top of banana
- Sprinkle unsweetened shredded coconut on top of nut butter
- Finally top with chocolate chips of choice
