One of the best things about a Walt Disney World Vacation is being able to experience all of the amazing food offerings. With food literally in your face from the moment you enter the bubble it really is one of the “main attractions” for everyone’s trip. There is something for everyone…even those with the pickiest of eaters.
With so much to do and knowing that time is usually very limited when you are on a Disney vacation, I wanted to share with you our Top 5 Quick Service Restaurants at Disney Resort’s so you can not only enjoy some great food, but enjoy it at your own pace so you can move on to that next experience on your list.
Below are our top 5 favorite quick service food locations, but if your looking for more information to help plan your next Disney vacation, best transportation around the world or some of our favorite places to stay click here.
Riverside Mill Food Court
The first one that I will mention is the Riverside Mill Food Court. There isn’t really anything super fancy about this one but, Port Orleans Riverside is one of our favorite resorts in all of Walt Disney World.
This quick service location has never disappointed. The resort itself is amazing and you can’t beat the walk from anywhere on property. If you want to learn more about this resort check out our recent post here.
This location serves an American fare inspired by Southern Louisiana style cooking on the bayou. Not only do they offer those unique tastes, they also have all of your staples to include those Mickey Shaped items as well.
One of my wife and I’s favorite things to do when staying at this location is to go for a nice quiet morning walk down by the river over to the French Quarter. On our way back we usually mobile order our breakfast from the Food Court and conveniently pick it up on our way. We usually get back just in time for the kids to wake up and enjoy before a long day at the parks.
Take a look at the menu here and see if this is something you want to try on your next trip.
The Mara – Animal Kingdom Lodge
Next up on the list is The Mara at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The Mara serves African and American cuisine and is home to the famous Zebra Domes. The Zebra Domes are very popular so it’s a must try when you’re in the area.
You will find several different types of African inspired bowls that you won’t find anywhere else on property. I would definitely recommend trying the South African Vegetable Bowl. This entree is light, refreshing, and offers a unique flavoring that my family and I loved.
Not only is the food here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner incredible but, the views and atmosphere are equally as amazing.
The Mara is located right next to the main pool and only steps away from the Savannah where you can see so many different animals which includes Giraffe, Zebra, Impala’s, and so many more. There are so many other great options available at this location so be sure to check out the menu here and add it to your list on your trip.
Capt. Cook’s – The Polynesian
Head on over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where you truly feel like you’re on island time. This location is so immersive and makes you feel like you’re right in the heart of Hawaii.
Capt. Cook’s offers a variety of different options such as American cuisine with an Asian flair, Seafood, as well as all of your standard Disney offerings. I can’t visit Capt. Cook’s without ordering the Thai Coconut Meatballs and I highly recommend you try them also.
If you’re in the area for breakfast, I’ve got some great news! Capt. Cook’s offers the famous Tonga Toast from Ohana’s and you don’t even have to have a reservation! Check out the menu here and add this to the top of your list.
Primo Piatto – Disney’s Riviera Resort
Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort holds a special place in our hearts because as Disney Vacation Club Members, this is our first and only home resort. Check out our Best Guide To Disney Vacation Club to find out more.
There are so many great options at this location such as the Bacon Cheddar Burger with Romano and Herbed Fries as well as the very popular Croque Monsieur. I highly recommend trying the Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes as these are a family favorite for breakfast anytime we are here. They are so light and fluffy with amazing flavor!
Primo Piatto offers mobile order, grab and go, as well as sit down options. This quick service location is located on the ground level in between the main pool and the resorts green space which offers a variety of yard games such as bags, bocce ball, giant chess, and many more. If this sounds like a place for you, check out the full menu here.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is by far our favorite quick service location on property! This spot is so good it even rivals many of the top sit down restaurants for us.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill offers a wide variety of food and drink items such as the amazing and very popular Bison Cheeseburger, Edamame with Chili-Salt, and a wide-array of specialty cocktails. The Edamame is a bit spicy but, my family and I could not stop eating once we started.
If you have any members in your party that are dairy free or Vegan, be sure to check out the many offerings that have been recently added. The Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites (Plant-based) was one of our favorite items on the whole menu.
Geyser Point Bar & Grill is an open air covered structure located at the edge of the property with beautiful views of Bay Lake. If you are looking for a relaxing vibe with good food and a great view, check out the full menu here and head on over to the Wilderness Lodge.
There are so many other dinning options within the resorts, parks and Disney Springs. We hope this list gave you at least a couple options to choose from for your next Disney vacation.
